UGREEN NASync DXP2800 GT 2-Bay NAS — Diskless

What are you buying? The UGREEN NASync DXP2800 GT is a compact, diskless network-attached storage system for putting files on your own network. It is a different tool from a pocket-size USB SSD. A portable SSD travels with your laptop; a NAS stays connected at home or in the studio so multiple authorized devices can reach the same storage.

Core hardware and the catch

UGREEN lists two SATA drive bays, two M.2 SSD slots, a 10GbE RJ45 network port, 8 GB DDR4 RAM and an AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514 processor for the DXP2800 GT. It runs UGOS Pro. Those specifications come from UGREEN's published model specification; this page is not an independent performance benchmark.

Diskless means disks are not included. Before comparing prices, add the cost of compatible SATA drives or SSDs, any M.2 drives, a backup destination, and whatever networking upgrades you actually need. A 10GbE port does not make every laptop or Wi-Fi connection run at 10Gbps: performance depends on switches, adapters, cabling, drive configuration and workload.

NAS or portable SSD: the practical choice

• Choose a portable USB-C SSD when you mainly move camera files between a laptop, editing workstation and travel bag.
• Consider the DXP2800 GT when you want central file storage for multiple machines, scheduled backups or a home-studio workflow with local control.
• Don't treat RAID as backup. Disk redundancy can help with a drive failure, but it does not replace a separate protected copy against theft, accidental deletion, ransomware or major hardware failure.

Verify this actual merchant offer

This is a new-item eBay listing from an independent seller, not a direct manufacturer checkout. Inspect the item photos and exact DXP2800 GT model, included power adapter, shipping, returns, warranty, voltage and final price before purchasing. Confirm the listing still has stock. Availability and pricing may change after publication.

For a desk already built around high-speed storage, compare the Satechi Thunderbolt 5 CubeDock with NVMe enclosure; it solves a different, directly attached storage problem.
